Job Title: Guest Services All Rounder

This is a unique opportunity to work in an extraordinary property located in the Grampians National Park. The property is situated in Halls Gap, on the outskirts of the stunning Grampians National Park, making it an ideal base for travellers seeking an outdoor adventure or relaxing getaway.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of this magical property. This includes ensuring that guests feel part of the local community and environment while being part of an innovative, evolving business with professional support from a nation-wide network of properties and a corporate office.

This is a live-in position, with accommodation including a self-contained two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, own bathroom, patio, and additional study.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Reception - Welcoming guests and ensuring their check-in process is seamless, while recording accounts and documentation accurately
  2. Guest Activities - Creating, promoting, and planning social events and activities to engage and entertain guests
  3. Housekeeping - Maintaining the property and guest rooms to the highest standards, including laundry and managing maintenance or safety issues efficiently
  4. Food & Beverage - Maintaining food hygiene and compliance, preparing and serving food and beverages, including coffee making and barista duties
  5. Health & Safety - Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures for the safety of yourself and others
Requirements:
  • You will need exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Ideally, you'll have experience in duty management, reception, or front desk from an accommodation-based hospitality environment
  • You'll require good attention to detail and organisational skills, as well as experience using Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays is essential
  • RSA certification is mandatory, and a First Aid certificate is desirable
  • Knowledge of the local area and travel/tourism industry is desired
