ROLE SUMMARY

The Group Treasurer will play a pivotal role in steering the financial success of Moose Enterprise Pty Ltd by overseeing the treasury functions. Collaborating closely with the CFO, this position will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key financial stakeholders, offering strategic support to the CFO, Directors, and Advisory Board regarding financial risks, and ensuring robust fiscal health and effective cash flow management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee cash flow and liquidity forecasting to ensure financial stability.
  • Develop and execute cash management strategies, providing expert advice to both domestic and international entities.
  • Manage daily cash and debt operations, addressing financial risks associated with treasury activities.
  • Investigate and implement strategies such as netting arrangements and cash pooling to enhance returns on credit balances.
  • Efficiently manage cross-border financial transactions, evaluating their impact on overall financial performance.
  • Supervise inter-company settlements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and addressing cross-border issues.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with financial institutions, including banking partners, owners, and the Advisory Board.
  • Support working capital and cash flow management efforts to achieve internal and external financial targets.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to mitigate currency risks linked to costing rates, inventory purchases, inter-company transactions, and dividends.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, particularly in foreign currency and interest rate sectors.
  • Conduct thorough analyses and prepare monthly treasury reports for the CFO and Advisory Board.
  • Regularly perform cash flow risk assessments on projected Profit Before Interest & Tax, Profit Before Tax, and Net Profit After Tax.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar financial role.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Business.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets, focusing on foreign currency and interest rate dynamics.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel, capable of creating complex financial analyses, models, and reports.
  • Proactively analyze data to identify market trends and business opportunities.
  • Utilize economic and financial data to enhance business performance.
  • Align decisions with the organization’s strategic goals, considering investment returns and cost implications.
  • Exhibit high attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Effectively communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Highly organized, with a systematic approach to work.
  • Capable of driving business improvements through strategic initiatives.
