Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Education & Training Officer will be accountable for the end-to-end registrar journey from application, selection and placement through training delivery, examination and continuing professional development. The successful candidate will lead the development of the Education & Training Strategy, ensuring the registrar experience value chain delivers a high-quality outcome to enhance the reputation of the RACGP, contributing to the successful pipeline and distribution of GPs across Australia.

The Chief Education & Training Officer will be responsible for driving a member-centric focus across all operational functions, building a reputation for educational and training excellence. This will involve leading the Education & Training teams and empowering them to effectively achieve outcomes and ensure training and education remains relevant for trainees and members of RACGP.

The ideal candidate will be a reputable executive leader in healthcare related education and training, with experience strategically leading a business to achieve outcomes ideally within the Australian healthcare industry or aligned sectors. They will have experience in working collaboratively with an executive team to establish an education strategy that is reflected in sustainable and contemporary training outcomes.

The Chief Education & Training Officer will be able to be located anywhere across the Eastern Seaboard, with regular travel as part of the executive team. They will be responsible for engaging and influencing a diverse group of stakeholders internally, across sector and government, and will be highly regarded for their resilient mindset, outcomes focused leadership, strong commercial acumen and ability to remain focused on the long-term vision.
