Primary Arabic Teacher

Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Primary Arabic Teacher to take on a key role at our esteemed Independent School in Brisbane. As a Primary Arabic Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to young learners, promoting holistic development and fostering social and emotional intelligence.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning and teaching programs for students, building the capacity of educators to model the ideals and values of the Muslim tradition through reflective teaching practices. You will ensure every learner is valued and supported to grow holistically, reaching their full potential through differentiated learning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assessment tasks and assessment schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of student information
  • Participate in the life of the school and develop healthy relationships with staff, students, and parents to assist the positive development of the whole School community

Requirements:

  • Formal teaching qualification (degree level)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current registered with QIT to teach in QLD, or eligible to register with QIT
  • Support the Muslin ethos of the school
  • Display a strong working knowledge of the QLD Curriculum
  • Provide engaging contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum
  • Build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams
  • Have highly effective organisational and communication skills
  • Be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement
