Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Advisor to join our team at Coles Group. As a Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our team members and customers.
About the TeamYou will be part of our Operations and Project team, working closely with our Automation Partner, contractors, and operational team to ensure safety is captured in key decisions. Your expertise will be invaluable in testing automation equipment, implementing safety systems, and setting baseline safety expectations for team members, contractors, and visitors.
About You and Your SkillsWe are looking for someone with a strong background in implementing safety systems and processes in new sites, preferably in an operational FMCG distribution Centre, manufacturing, or automated environment. You will need to have a proven record of providing technical expertise and coaching operational teams in safety topics such as incident response. Strong communication skills and the ability to positively influence and collaborate for great outcomes are essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing safety systems and processes in new sites
- Providing technical expertise and coaching operational teams in safety topics
- Verifying implementation of controls and activities based on supplied documentation
- Coaching and mentoring operational teams in safety topics such as incident response
- Collaborating with the operational team to ensure safety is captured in key decisions
