Conservation Officer Position

Moss Vale, New South Wales presents a unique opportunity as an Environmental Officer. This full-time position offers a 38 hour workweek with a rostered day off every fortnight.
The role entails enforcing local laws and regulations to maintain public safety, community amenity, and environmental standards across the region. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out patrols and investigating breaches
- Education of the public and taking appropriate enforcement actions
- Supporting broader organisational goals through cultural change and continuous improvement in service delivery

Key requirements for this role include:
- Relevant qualification in regulatory control or equivalent experience
- Proven technical knowledge and demonstrated experience in application of statutory frameworks
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven record of using new technology and integrating it into work practices and procedures
- Previous experience in courts representing the Council and preparing documentation and evidence briefs
- Demonstrated ability to be resilient to work pressures and demands, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Class C drivers' licence without restriction
