Environmental Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Ecology Survey Lead to coordinate and lead field-based ecology survey work, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, and targeted flora and weed assessments across various bioregions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing ecological projects, supporting internal clients with multi-disciplinary tenders and deliverables, planning, delivering, and analyzing ecology surveys independently or collaboratively, performing impact assessments and designing mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and lead field-based ecology survey work, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, and targeted flora and weed assessments across various bioregions.
- Manage ecological projects, support internal clients with multi-disciplinary tenders and deliverables, plan, deliver, and analyze ecology surveys independently or collaboratively, perform impact assessments and design mitigation strategies.
- Degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or related field.
- 7-10+ years professional experience in botanical surveys, with a strong focus on ecological consulting, vegetation assessments, or related fieldwork.
- Excellent field skills and experience conducting surveys in various environments, including mining, remote, and Perth Metro areas.
- Strong technical reporting skills proficiency in GIS desktop and data collection packages (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS).
- WA driving license and ability to work outdoors on short and extended field programs.
- Working knowledge of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
