Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a skilled Payment Processing Expert to join their Global Payments & Treasury Services Operations team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services or payment processing and be able to manage high volume days with ease.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

  • Monitor and Validate Payments: The Payment Processing Expert will be responsible for monitoring payment processing applications, reviewing and validating payments submitted through various methods, and flagging any issues that arise with payment mechanisms.
  • Process Funds Transfers: The expert will process funds transfer or settlement instructions in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to payment cut off times and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They will also investigate differences in cash processing and perform settlements and reconciliations.
  • Manage Cash Movements: The Payment Processing Expert will manage the daily processing of cash movements by bank clients, confirming the validity of transactions with managers in cash processing and client services.
  • Research and Resolve Inquiries: The expert will research and resolve client inquiries received from the client services team, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: The Payment Processing Expert will adhere to and complete regulatory and compliance monitoring and reporting, as required. They will also ensure the quality and completion of their own work, supporting actional tasks assigned by their manager.
  • Data Processing and Escalation: The expert will serve as an escalation point for data processing issues and provide input on quality improvement processes.

About You:

  • You will have a strong understanding of local payments systems, such as Austraclear, and the SWIFT payment system.
  • You will have effective time management skills and be able to manage end-to-end processes in high volume days.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • You will be enthusiastic about operations excellence initiatives to improve efficiency and be a strong team player who can support others.
  • You will be flexible with working hours and able to support later hours when required.
