The successful applicant will be skilled in the development of personalised learning programs, dynamic, innovative and creative in their approach to teaching, with a passion for their discipline. The purpose of the position of Commerce Educator is to play a key role as a member of the Humanities Department. The Commerce Educator is responsible for creating a vibrant and engaging learning culture that provides each student with opportunities to engage in real life applications in the field of commerce to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding, and to support them in achieving personal best.
The Commerce Educator will have expertise and experience in teaching VCE Economics and Business Management, with VCE Accounting being preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Commerce Educator will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning programs in Commerce.
- Assessing and providing feedback to students on their learning.
- Participating in the development and implementation of the school's curriculum.
- Contributing to the school's community and extracurricular programs.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance their teaching practice.
To be successful in this role, the Commerce Educator will need to have:
- Strong teaching and learning skills, with a focus on creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
- Expertise and experience in teaching Commerce, with a strong understanding of the VCE curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff and parents.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- A strong understanding of the school's values and mission, and a commitment to contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.
