Safety and Wellbeing Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the functions of a team, including programs and initiatives in the delivery of health and safety systems and strategies across QFD, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and volunteers. This role requires a highly skilled individual with experience in risk assessments, Work Health and Safety Management System development and implementation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the functions of the team, including programs and initiatives in the delivery of health and safety systems and strategies across QFD, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and volunteers.
- Drive the development, delivery and evaluation of safety and wellbeing programs, tools and initiatives to improve the safety and wellbeing literacy, capacity and outcomes across QFD in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Provide high-level strategic advice to senior managers on safety and wellbeing obligations, risks and mitigation strategies and provide solutions to support service delivery and workforce capability.
Key Requirements:
- Experience and/or formal qualification in Workplace Safety, Workplace Investigation, Health Promotion, Risk Management, or related areas.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of legislation and regulatory frameworks related to Work Health and Safety Act 2011.
- Qualifications and/or experience in incident investigation models such as ICAM and TapRoot.
