A key role is available for a Purchasing Officer to join our Supply Chain Team. This position will be based in Forrestfield, reporting into the Regional Supply Chain Manager.

The primary goal of this position is procurement support for Drilling Services and other business functions across the Asia Pacific region.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Timely conversion of purchase requisitions into orders or internal sales transactions
• Driving process improvement initiatives
• Collaboration with the Perth Distribution Centre for management and performance of Forward Stocking Locations (FSL's)
• Interpreting and administering company policies and procedures while driving compliance
• Representing Supply Chain at local weekly Operational meetings or as directed by the Supply Chain Leader – APAC
• Developing productive working relationships with relevant stakeholders

The ideal candidate must possess:

• A detailed understanding of supply chain functions and processes, including purchasing, vendor negotiations and cost-saving initiatives
• Previous experience in a supply chain role
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
• Effective communication skills with the ability to converse with all levels
