Job Overview:

The role of a National Operations Director has become available within a leading property investment and asset management group. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of national property operations, capital expenditure programs, and service provider performance across a diverse portfolio.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the asset management and finance teams to ensure assets are safe, compliant, efficiently run, and well-positioned for long-term performance. You will have the opportunity to shape the newly created national role and drive operational best practice, sustainability initiatives, and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead the delivery of capital expenditure programs across a national property portfolio">
  • Manage procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and contract performance">
  • Oversee compliance, risk, WH&S, and building audits in collaboration with property and facilities managers">
  • Drive operational best practice, sustainability initiatives, and cost-efficiency">
  • Liaise with insurers, risk consultants, compliance authorities, and utilities providers">
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, tenant customers, and internal teams">
  • Provide reporting on CAPEX, risk, fire safety, and operational performance">
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in operations and systems">

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Property, Engineering, or Construction Management">
  • Extensive experience in operations or facilities management within commercial property">
  • Strong knowledge of building compliance, WH&S, and lifecycle planning">
  • Proven track record in delivering CAPEX projects and managing external providers">
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and project reporting skills">
  • Experience in a funds or institutional property environment (desirable)">
