Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) to join our Lifestyle Medicine team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our clients, addressing a range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and occupational stress.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to address the complex needs of our clients.
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and CBT with a trauma focus.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care and support to clients with complex mental health needs.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, providing education and support to help them navigate their mental health concerns.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with new developments in the field and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans.
- Master's degree in counselling or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Registration through the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) as an RCC or the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) as a CCC.
- A minimum of five years of experience in clinical counselling, with a focus on working with Veterans, military personnel, and first responders experiencing a range of mental health conditions.
- Experience in Group Therapy and facilitation.
- Certification or established skills in one or more of the following: EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Exposure Therapy, and CBT with a trauma focus, or other evidence-based treatments for PTSD or other conditions.
