Secure Mental Health Social Worker

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of others as a Secure Mental Health Social Worker with our newly developed unit on the Gold Coast. You will work collaboratively towards independent living, promoting hope and optimism for individuals needing extended care.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Deliver an efficient mental health social work service
  • Conduct routine psychosocial assessments to support diagnosis, treatment, education and case management
  • Provide social work services such as implementing clinically appropriate interventions, discharge coordination and planning, linking to information and resources
  • Work cooperatively and effectively in a professional manner with multidisciplinary team members

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A university level social work degree accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable
  • Eligibility for registration with AASW
  • Blue card
  • Driver licence
  • Evidence of vaccination against certain diseases
  • Tuberculosis screening
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees
