Cyber Defence Analyst

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to be part of our growth in cyber defence, expanding our Cyber Security Operations capability. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to building a stronger, smarter defence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, triage, and prioritise alerts, incidents, and threat intelligence outputs.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and assist with threat hunting.
  • Support incident response including containment, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare reports and maintain playbooks, tools, and processes.
  • Analyse malware and vulnerabilities to enhance detection and defences.

About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (mandatory).
  • Professional certifications in SOC operations (preferred).
  • Previous enterprise-level experience in a similar role.
  • Scripting skills for automating security tasks and workflows.
  • Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
  • Strong understanding of system/cloud administration, firewalls, and EDR tools.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, YARA scanning, and deception technologies.
