Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Operations Consultant to join our Resources Advisory team in Milton. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders and support your technical growth within the wider SLR team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct site operations reviews to assist clients in optimizing their quarry operations.
- Perform site safety inspections, including safety systems reviews and audits.
- Develop and maintain safety system documentation, including SWMS, Risk Assessments, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare reports and documentation to support project delivery.
- Support the Technical Director - Resources and Operations in delivering projects.
- Manage key client relationships and understand client needs and services.
- Prepare fee estimates and meet project deadlines.
- Assist clients with regulatory requirements and notices.
- Provide technical and operational advice to clients on matters related to the quarry and extractive industry.
- Rii50120 Diploma of Surface Operations Management/Surface Extraction or equivalent engineering qualifications.
- Relevant health and safety qualifications or demonstrated experience.
- Knowledge of the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Regulation 2017 and Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act 2013.
- Site Senior Executive Notice (Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999) is desirable.
- A minimum of years' experience in operating mining and quarrying equipment, including HME and crushing and screening plant.
- Experience in risk management and assessments.
- Safety and auditing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the resources, quarry, and extractive industry.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
