This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including:
- Privacy Advice and Assessments: Drafting and reviewing privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for government clients on nationally important projects.
- Data Governance and Sharing: Drafting and reviewing data governance and data sharing agreements and other arrangements.
- Data Breach Investigations: Investigating and helping clients manage risks associated with data breaches.
- Freedom of Information: Providing strategic advice to government clients on handling highly sensitive freedom of information requests.
- Private Sector Expertise: Assisting private-sector clients with privacy matters.
- Training and Development: Preparing and delivering privacy and information law training to clients.
- Practice Growth: Helping to grow our practice and reputation as a 'go-to' firm for privacy, data, and information law matters.
The team works collaboratively with interstate colleagues to come up with innovative and practical solutions for clients, ensuring that privacy rights are protected and expectations are met.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with:
- 1-3 years' experience in privacy/commercial/administrative law advising government clients.
- An interest in protecting individual privacy and ensuring that governments and organizations can undertake their functions and activities in a way that meets privacy requirements.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new areas of law.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- A practical and innovative approach to finding solutions.
