Registered Midwife Level 1 Collaborative Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Midwife to join our team at the Women's and Children's Health Network. As a collaborative arrangement between WCH and FUNLHN, this midwife will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing midwifery services to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess individual patient needs, plan, implement, and coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
- Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient safety and risk minimization.
- Provide health promotion and education to patients, families, and carers to improve health outcomes.
- Participate in evaluative research activities within the practice setting.
- Support and guide newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses, and other workers providing basic nursing care.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing consumer-centered care.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Registered General Nurse/Midwife within a healthcare setting.
