Your Role

The Enterprise Solution Architect - Data Domain Lead will be responsible for leading the development of our data architecture strategy. This will involve:

  1. Defining the target state vision and strategy for our data systems, processes, and technologies.
  2. Providing architectural governance and contributing to the creation of a technical roadmap for our data domain.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and experience leading teams. They will be responsible for:

  1. Leading proof of concept and minimum viable product ideation with a focus on data-driven solutions.
  2. Designing end-to-end solutions that align with our business strategy, emphasizing data management, analytics, and governance.
  3. Identifying opportunities and mitigating risks in solution architecture, particularly in data integration, quality, lifecycle management, and compliance.
  4. Collaborating with technology vendors and product teams to create roadmaps developing capabilities aligned with our desired target state.

The Enterprise Solution Architect - Data Domain Lead will also be responsible for:

  1. Contributing to technology roadmaps with a focus on data platforms, tools for analytics and ML/AI.
  2. Collaborating with solution developers to ensure product implementations align with strategic technology roadmaps and best practices in data architecture.
  3. Ensuring business-level planning considers data as a critical asset within our corporate strategic roadmap.
  4. Contributing to quarterly Objectives and Key Results, aligning with product and tech health metrics and using these to drive engineering uplift across Flybuys.
  5. Driving technology choices for engineering products, adhering to agreed technology strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and experience leading teams. They will be responsible for:

  1. Coaching and managing the performance and career development of a team of Enterprise Solution Architects within the data domain.
  2. Leading team members in applying agile and lean architecture practices.
Your Experience

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. Several years of experience as a Principal, Domain, or Enterprise Architect leading teams.
  2. Ability to lead a team in creating solution designs in collaboration with engineering and product.
  3. Experience in modern data architectures and their integration with channels and operational systems.
  4. Ability to articulate and drive technology roadmaps for a technology or business domain.
  5. Experience with cloud and SaaS-based architectures.
  6. Ability to abstract concepts, extract patterns, and use these for decision-making.
  7. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
  8. Extensive experience in data-specific skill sets such as data strategy, data modelling, data integration, data warehousing, and data security, analytics, and AI.
  9. Exposure to technologies like Snowflake, DBT, Hightouch, AWS, and Azure is advantageous.
