Fieldwork Placement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fieldwork Placement Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of fieldwork placements for students in the Bachelor of Community Services program.

  • This includes developing systems to ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards, building relationships with external organizations for diverse opportunities, and providing essential support and guidance to students, agency supervisors, and host organizations throughout the placement process.
  • You will also collaborate with academic staff and the Work Placement Team to develop policies, administer agreements, oversee student records, and maintain academic standards.
  • Designing and delivering preparation workshops for students, and recruiting, training, and supporting Academic Liaison Visitors are additional key responsibilities.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the community services sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor Degree or higher in Social Work, Community Services, Social Welfare, or Human Services, and a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification industry experience.
  • Full membership, or eligibility for full membership, of the Community Work Australia (CWA).
  • Knowledge of contemporary developments in the community services sector informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice.
  • Experience in supervising community services students in work-based contexts.

You must also possess exceptional problem-solving, organisational, and analytical abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet competing deadlines with accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
