About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sea Operations Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods through our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities
- Process documents efficiently and promptly to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with customs agents, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns related to freight movements.
- Take responsibility for sourcing and managing approved suppliers, reviewing purchase orders, and liaising with quality control teams.
- Liaise with overseas offices and agents to resolve any issues related to paperwork and charges.
- Handle claims related to damage or pilferage, including notification to quality control and customer service teams.
- Inspect all dangerous goods documentation and cargo to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Arrange ultimate consignee with shipping lines or customs prior to arrival of vessel.
- Take corrective action to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the logistics industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
