Research Infrastructure Manager Position

The Research Infrastructure Manager is a pivotal role within the Medicine & Health Research Infrastructure and Operational Services (MEDRIOS) Team, which is responsible for delivering high-quality biomedical research facilities, scientific, and other support services.

This position plays a critical role in leading a team of thirteen direct reports to achieve strategic objectives and implement initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure the management of processes and delivery of operational services meet the faculty's research outcomes and maintain high-standard research facilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the MEDRIOS Team to deliver high-quality biomedical research facilities and services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic objectives and implement initiatives.
  • Maintain efficient processes and service delivery that aligns with the faculty's research goals.
Key Requirements:
  • Hold relevant qualifications with extensive experience in providing high-quality operations or operational support within a research setting.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership skills in motivating, inspiring, and mobilizing diverse teams to create a positive workplace culture and deliver quality outcomes in a complex environment.
  • Possess experience working with various computer systems and applications, including Microsoft 365 suite, oracle databases, and online collaborative tools.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in deliverables produced.
  • Display sound influencing and consultation skills with ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
