Defence Simulator Technician

This role is part of our team delivering industry-leading unmanned aerial system (UAS) services in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.

About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Defence Simulator Technician to work with our customers in a Defence Simulation Environment. This individual will support various activities such as collective training, mission planning, and rehearsals, combined arms training, and individual training for customer operators and maintainers.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Customer's Defence Simulator Environment.
  2. Operate simulators as a Simulator Technician.
  3. Develop libraries of scenarios to support customer training needs.
  4. Conduct system and network administration, managing training IT infrastructure, desktop support, repairs, and testing.
  5. Perform general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations, and component handling of training devices, assemblies, and components.
  6. Troubleshoot systems and support equipment to isolate faults and repair faulty components.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Simulator Support or an IT/Computer/Network-related field.
  • Understanding and experience working in an IT service environment using ITIL.
  • Experience in a Defence Simulator Environment or a commercial environment with transferrable skills.
  • Knowledge and skills in the integration and operation of live, virtual, constructive simulation and industry-leading simulation software.
