Job Title: Hydraulic Design Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydraulic Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Building Services discipline, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality hydraulic services designs and documentation to clients across Australia.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing technically competent and commercially realistic hydraulic services designs and documentation specified to comply with Australian standards and authority codes. You will also provide clear and concise instructions and markups to the drafting and 3D modeling pool, ensuring that accurate drawings and registration systems are produced according to supplied specifications and applicable standards.

You will work closely with other disciplines to coordinate requirements and perform checks on documents and drawings. Your attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hydraulic services systems for building projects
  • Produce technical documentation, including design reports and specifications
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Cert IV in Plumbing or BSc)
  • Registration with the RMS for NSW Class 2 Building Practitioners Design declarations (preferred and highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated experience working within the building services industry as a Senior Hydraulic Designer
  • Sound knowledge of Revit software, AutoCAD, and BlueBeam
  • In-depth knowledge of the AS3500 suite of standards
  • Cross-discipline knowledge with a broad understanding of Australian Standards
