About Green Space Maintenance Roles

Our council-controlled open spaces and roadsides across south-east Queensland require skilled professionals to maintain and enhance the green spaces. As a Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to mowing equipment maintenance, inspections, and lawn care.

Job Description

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work, and have a keen eye for detail. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and operating mowing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Performing regular inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Maintaining lawns and green spaces to a high standard
  • Completing service requests as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in tractor operation
  • A valid Manual HR Drivers Licence
  • A White Card
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team and/or individually
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
