We are a digital protection tool created by x15ventures, a corporate venture scaler of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Our mission is to empower Australians to be in control of their identity and reduce the financial, emotional, and social impacts of fraud.

Truyu alerts users about identity checks and provides helpful links and remediation prompts to re-secure their information. We also notify users if their email addresses have been exposed in a data breach and offer proactive guidance to enhance their online security.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Truyu ensures the safe handling of user data, encrypting and storing it in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Truyu. This role will be critical in creating a best-in-class application for our customers as we continue to evolve and scale our product.

The successful candidate will leverage their breadth of experience across the full stack of technologies to build a scalable digital protection product that our customers love.

Your Team

Our team has been working together since November 2023 and is growing. As a key member of our collaborative team, you will work closely with the product team to design and implement technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consume a build and deployment pipeline encompassing full-stack application and Azure infrastructure deployment
  • Assist with providing accurate estimates for the development effort for new features
  • Be part of designing and implementing technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Analyse venture objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements
  • Provide technical assistance to other members of the team
  • Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within the venture
  • Establish and refine technology policies and procedures to ensure operational safety

Your Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in Full Stack software development, ideally in a start-up environment. You should have experience with front-end technologies such as HTML/CSS, React JavaScript, Typescript, or APIs, and back-end technologies such as Nodejs, PostgreSQL, or GraphQL. Experience with cloud technology such as Azure is also essential.

Nice to Have

  • Have a product-oriented mindset and be able to work closely with product managers to understand the needs of the end-users
  • Passionate about fostering effective Engineering practices and processes
  • DevOps Experience including CICD Pipelines, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible
