Johanna Foods, a leading food manufacturer, seeks a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team. As one of the country's largest producers and distributors of fruit juices, drinks, and yogurt, we offer a wide range of products.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance repairs and inspections on fleet of trailers, yard tractors, and over-the-road tractors.
  • Maintain accurate repair records and parts inventory in Garage.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong workplace safety record with no incidents or accidents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in completing DOT inspections on trailers, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair ThermoKing refrigeration units on trailers, minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues on transport equipment, leveraging expertise to resolve complex problems.
  • Competence in performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication to extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Welding skills documented via certification or evidence of work experience, demonstrating proficiency in this critical skill.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with mechanics and management, facilitating seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
Requirements
  • Relevant work experience satisfactory to JFI hiring manager(s), ensuring a strong foundation for success in the role.
  • Technical training and certifications in areas of refrigeration, electrical, and welding, providing a competitive edge and expertise in these key areas.
