Job Overview

Xtrac is a leading design and manufacturer of specialist transmissions, serving top motorsports racing series including Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar, and NASCAR.

As we transition from internal combustion to electric and hybrid vehicles, our experienced teams use cutting-edge technology to achieve this transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Cylindrical Grinders (internal and external) and Manual Surface grinding machines, preferably Studer and J&S.
  • Program, set up, and run machines to produce transmission parts meeting company quality standards.
  • Implement programming and editing functions to create high-quality components as per drawing specifications.
  • Document setup procedures for work undertaken and store associated tooling/gauging.
  • Liaise with the Manufacturing Support Office to discuss manufacturing issues and identify defective parts.
  • Perform self-inspections using CMM and contour trace machines.
  • Complete job cards, pack parts in suitable packaging, and relocate them to the next operation.
  • Record setting and production times accurately using current systems.
  • Be prepared to operate additional machines when required.

Work will be carried out in a machine shop environment.

Requirements

This role requires:

  • Experience operating CNC Cylindrical Grinders and Manual Surface grinding machines.
  • Strong understanding of programming and editing functions.
  • Able to work in a team and independently, adhering to company quality standards.
  • Familiarity with documentation and record-keeping processes.
