High-Performance Machining Technician Job Summary

About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity to join our team as a skilled machining technician. The ideal candidate will possess experience in operating CNC, TMC, and VMC machines.

The primary responsibility of this role is to operate complex machine tools with high precision and accuracy. This involves creating, editing, and optimizing CNC programs using advanced software such as SolidCAM and Mastercam.

A successful candidate will be able to interpret technical drawings and machining instructions accurately, conduct thorough quality control checks, and lead a team of machine operators on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machining Operations: Operate CNC, TMC, and VMC machines as per production requirements.
  • CNC Program Development: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using SolidCAM and/or Mastercam.
  • Quality Control: Conduct first-piece inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of machine operators on the shop floor.
  • Task Assignment: Assign daily tasks and ensure timely execution of production targets.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize cutting parameters to improve efficiency and tool life.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot machining and programming issues independently.
  • Machine Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance for machine upkeep and repairs.
  • Safety and Discipline: Maintain workplace discipline, safety, and 5S standards.
