We're seeking passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers who are committed to providing high-quality education to students from urban and remote public schools. The Department of Education and Training supports over 34,000 students across 153 government schools in the NT, with 14,000+ Aboriginal students and nearly half of all students speaking a language other than English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Establish inclusive classrooms that support student wellbeing and learning
  • Use effective behaviour management and build positive relationships with students, families, and communities
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress towards meeting learning outcomes
  • Engage with families and communities as part of your teaching practice, promoting cultural understanding and student success

Requirements:

  • Be registered or eligible for registration with the Teacher Registration Board NT
  • Obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • If you completed your teacher education after July 2016, provide proof of LANTITE test completion
