Job Description

Job Title: Social Services Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Services Coordinator to join our team at St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn. As a key member of our specialist team, you will play a vital role in delivering case support to individuals with complex needs, developing holistic and sustainable case plans, and meeting the outcomes required of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver case support to individuals with complex needs, including those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
  • Develop and implement holistic and sustainable case plans that meet the outcomes required of our programs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide support and guidance to individuals to enhance their living skills, confidence, and access to mainstream services.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as social work, community services, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a community services or social services setting, particularly in a role involving case management and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • High-level understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $49.28, plus 14.5% superannuation.
  • Salary packaging options up to $15,900 per FBT year, with an additional Meals and Entertainment package available up to $2,650 per FBT year.
