Job Title: Staff Specialist

Our organization seeks a highly skilled gastroenterologist to provide clinical management and intervention for gastroenterology patients. This position will be responsible for performing clinical services, participating in the bed allocation process, and managing patient flow.

  • Duties:
  • Perform endoscopic services, provide specialist consultation, and lead junior colleagues in providing high-standard patient care that conforms to best practice and evidence-based standards.
  • Ensure seamless transfer of care and effective patient flow according to organizational requirements.

This role complements our vibrant gastroenterology team, working alongside general medicine physicians within the department. We seek a dedicated professional with demonstrated experience in gastroenterology, including endoscopy, and a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing, and allied health.

Requirements:

  • A primary medical degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with recognized qualifications in gastroenterology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
  • High-standard clinical practice in gastroenterology, including adaptability to contemporary evidence-based best practices.
  • Capacity for clinical leadership, a commitment to education, and willingness to participate in clinical research.
