Role Overview

The University of New South Wales is dedicated to fostering an environment where exceptional talent can thrive. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be integrated within the School of Marketing, focusing on collaborative and independent research in quantitative marketing methodologies. The primary objective is to derive innovative and robust insights regarding the impact of marketing strategies through advanced econometric modeling applied to real-world data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing state-of-the-art econometric models to extract valuable marketing insights.
  • Partnering with industry stakeholders to gather and analyze empirical data for model calibration.
  • Executing field experiments in collaboration with industry partners.
  • Processing, cleaning, and interpreting research data to derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Publishing findings in prestigious marketing and related academic journals.
  • Presenting research outcomes at both national and international academic conferences.
  • Providing guidance and support to PhD candidates.
  • Minimal teaching responsibilities, primarily limited to guest lectures.

Selection Criteria:

  • A PhD in Marketing, Business, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on empirical econometric models.
  • A demonstrated passion for addressing real-world marketing challenges.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and training.
  • Proficiency in programming and data management tools, such as R, Python, Matlab, or Gauss.
  • A proven or potential record of high-quality publications.
