
Senior Healthcare Protection Specialist

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team in providing security services for healthcare facilities across Western Australia.
About the Position:- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect potential security risks, ensuring a secure environment for patients and staff.
- Conduct thorough security screenings of individuals and belongings.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to provide a safe and supportive environment.
- Surveillance of patients admitted for mental health concerns, requiring empathy and understanding.
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergencies, applying control and restraint techniques as needed.
- Document and report observations and incidents according to company policies.
- Maintain physical fitness for 12-hour shifts, including lifting heavy objects and engaging in push/pull activities.
- Handle sensitive situations involving patients with mental health issues, such as substance abuse or self-harm.
- Certificate II in Security Operations and at least two years' experience in security or a related field.
- Demonstrated verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Effective written communication skills, producing well-structured reports.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Experience working with diverse groups, including people with disabilities and mental health concerns.
- Valid WA Security Officer licence.
- First Aid qualification.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Working With Children's card (or willingness to obtain).
- Infection Control Training (or willingness to obtain).
- Vaccination history or serology evidence of immunity (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficient in self-defence techniques.
- Minimum fitness level.
- Two years' experience in a response-level position, preferably in crowd control or a similar role.
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, including de-escalation techniques.
- Weekly pay cycle.
