Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team in Sydney. As a Video Editor, you will have the opportunity to combine your creative flair and technical skills to produce high-quality video content for various platforms.

This is a permanent full-time role that requires attention to detail, accuracy, and editorial integrity in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing ingest, asset management, quality control, distribution, and receipt of media assets across the network, affiliates, and third parties.

You will also be expected to edit and deliver high-quality media content using Avid Media Composer and other NLE tools, prepare, QC, and adapt broadcast programs to meet technical and compliance standards across free-to-air, catch-up, and streaming platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and deliver high-quality media content for various platforms.
  • Manage ingest, asset management, quality control, distribution, and receipt of media assets.
  • Prepare, QC, and adapt broadcast programs to meet technical and compliance standards.
  • Operate studio EVS systems to support live studio productions, archive, and restore media assets.
  • Contribute to pre-production and creative editing processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with non-linear editing systems (preferably Avid Media Composer) and technical literacy across video production workflows.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and editorial integrity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-focused approach and the ability to build positive relationships across teams.
  • Creative mindset with a genuine interest in storytelling and crafting engaging content.
  • A motivated self-starter who embraces new technology, works proactively, and is flexible to work a 7-day rotating roster with early and late shift bands.
