About the Position

International Catalyst Services, LLC is seeking a Financial Services Executive to join our team in Sydney. This is a senior leadership position that requires three days of office work per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Financial Services Executive is responsible for all internal financial reporting activities in Pacific to Region Controller, including liaison with Sub-Region Controllers, internal reporting teams and subject matter experts.
  • This role consolidates financial information for US GAAP reporting for the region, subject to liaison with Sub-Region Controllers, other Controllership staff and functions, and provides support for other finance related activities including but not limited to local, regional and global projects, M&A due diligence and integration.
Main Tasks
  • Oversees and manages the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities (P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow statements) in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Chief planner and organizer to ensure on time and high quality preparation of technical and other presentation materials required.
  • Manages relationship with broader Controllership teams, Financial Planning & Analysis team, other Finance functions including Tax, Treasury, internal audit and external auditors.
  • Assists with ensuring on time closing, overseeing and adhering to timelines. Develops and implements country level accounting policies and procedures where required.
  • Provides oversight of projects, initiatives and acquisitions/dispositions across Marsh McLennan businesses in Pacific.
  • Is the thought leader on projects which have reporting impact for Pacific companies.
  • Provides leadership / oversight to the Accounting Ops team with respect to provision of information for external and internal audits.
  • Supports in M&A activities from due diligence through to purchase accounting.
  • Manages teams on a matrix basis within the region, leadership and driving for results.
  • Responsible for setting effective cadence protocols to ensure on time and high quality deliverables.
  • Builts strong understanding of the business of stakeholders including an understanding of their Business operations, their priorities, risks and challenges sufficient to provide support to or on occasion step in for the Region/Sub-Region Controller.
