Caregiver Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver Specialist to join our team at Southern Cross Care Inc.

• Assist residents with daily tasks, personal care, and mobility, promoting independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver person-centred care plans.
• Respectfully assist residents with meals and drinks, ensuring a safe and pleasurable experience.
• Promote residents' autonomy by encouraging them to participate in activities of daily living.
• Support and nurture partnerships with residents, understanding their needs and preferences.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate III in Aged Care.
• Demonstrated experience in a personal carer role, working independently with minimal supervision.
• Sound knowledge of best practice personal and clinical care skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of dementia support requirements, including managing challenging behaviours.

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
