- We are seeking an expert who can utilise advanced data analytics tools to provide insights supporting fraud investigations, disputes, and regulatory compliance challenges for our clients.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the broader Forensics team and consult with stakeholders to develop forensic procedures and define measurable data metrics and design investigative analysis.
- Extract, validate, transform and load high-volume structured and unstructured data from multiple sources (including ERP and accounting systems) for deeper analysis.
- Develop algorithms, data mining, and data analytic solutions to assist clients with detection of fraud, bribery and corruption; irregular financial transactions; anomalous employee behaviour; and target error and waste in their operations.
- You will support senior team members in preparing and presenting client deliverables, including using visualisation software to clearly present the benefits of the analysis to clients.
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries, utilising analytics to transform and improve our clients' businesses.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively in non-technical language and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to clearly and concisely present data, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Proficiency and professional experience with data manipulation languages such as SQL, statistical techniques (regression, clustering etc.) and analytical tools like Alteryx, Python, R or similar packages.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Academic or professional experience in a relevant field (Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics).
- Familiarity with data visualisation software such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g. Azure/AWS), commercial relational database systems (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and enterprise software solutions.
