This role involves managing and administering security and facilities contracts within APS frameworks and legislation.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing advice, support or escalation on security, facilities and emergency management related matters
  2. Assessing and responding to security, facilities and emergency management related incidents and issues
  3. Conducting routine personnel security functions including background checking, security clearance administration, maintenance and separation activities
  4. Supervising day to day facilities functions including those that relate to facilities maintenance, physical security and floor plans administration
  5. Contributing to policy development and implementation in areas of security, facilities and building warden operations
  6. Assisting in the delivery of awareness programs and face-to-face training sessions

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in operational protective security and/or policy governance positions
  • Exposure to facilities and property administration is desirable but not necessary
  • Proven ability in drafting written policies and procedures
  • Preferable Baseline Clearance with a view to upgrading to NV1
