About the RoleThe Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is a dynamic agency seeking an exceptional individual to lead its Government Relations and Advocacy team. As Assistant Director, you will have the opportunity to shape policy reforms and contribute to key stakeholder engagements.
This role requires a strategic thinker with expertise in leading high-performing teams and building effective relationships with internal stakeholders. If you have a proven track record of navigating complex policy issues and driving results, we encourage you to apply.
- Brief senior executives on key external stakeholder engagements
- Advocate for policy reform and contribute ACCC views across relevant reforms
- Lead a small, high-performing team in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in complex organizations
- A broad understanding of the ACCC's roles and functions, as well as related policy and political issues
- Experience working on sensitive policy and operational issues under tight deadlines
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and influence others
