Key Responsibilities- Work on large complex tenders, utilizing your expertise to develop accurate cost estimates and proposal documents.
- Support the existing estimation team through mentoring and training, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer and process improvement.
- Assess and interpret tender documentation, identifying key requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive offers to clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate bid specifications, review plans and drawings, and negotiate tender and supplier pricing.
- Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, manufacturers, suppliers, and wholesalers, fostering a strong network of industry partners.
- Support key stakeholders in the Manufacturing team by tracking quotes, closeout, reviewing, and improving estimation processes, and saving production costs through smarter designs.
- Review tender opportunities as required, staying up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop quotes and assist in creating proposals, terms, and conditions.
A sound understanding and experience estimating for projects involving electrical switchboards, control systems, power distribution, and manufacturing. Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand standards is essential. A strategic approach to winning work and the ability to clearly articulate the SAGE value proposition are critical. Proven ability to build strong client relationships, understand complex tender proposals, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Requirements- Educated to a trade or engineering qualification or verifiable industry experience.
