Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Product Manager to join our team at the State of Washington. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and management of our IT systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and align with our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Discovery: Lead the discovery of customer problems and opportunities, prioritizing and executing Administration and Finance product discovery activities.
  • Product Strategy: Translate agency strategic goals into executable plans, creating and maintaining product roadmaps that articulate prioritized opportunities.
  • Product Prioritization: Communicate development team priorities, aligning roadmap resource investment with agency and portfolio strategic goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, User Experience Design, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or other relevant field AND 5+ years experience in product development field working in the planning, design, and development of products.
  • OR a combination of education and/or relevant IT experience equal to 9 years.
  • 5+ years directly supervising the day-to-day activities of employees.
  • Demonstrated record of leading information technology projects.
  • Demonstrated experience creating solutions that ensure equitable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience of leading cross-functional teams to deliver successful products.
  • Demonstrated process of successful decision-making related to product features.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working remotely or in a hybrid work environment.

  • Must be able to pass an Unemployment Insurance (UI) Claim & Benefit Information Review.
