About the role:

This position supports Food Service delivery at Uniting AgeWell Lillian Martin by providing a service in accordance with the current planned menu and requirements of the Food Safety Program. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to maintain daily and periodic cleaning schedules for food preparation and food service areas.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Serving residents meals in dining hall services and trolley service to rooms
  • Washing dishes, sandwich making, providing cups of tea or coffee to residents and their visitors
  • Providing feedback regarding residents' likes and dislikes regarding menu planning and escalating any observations or concerns in residents' conditions
  • Promoting and participating in quality activities, and providing outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends
  • Supporting colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About you:

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience working in food service, preferably in a health, hotel or aged care setting. You should be able to work at a fast pace as part of a team, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to work without supervision.
