Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

This role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management. You will also be responsible for preparing and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Additionally, you will oversee trust account management and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Your duties will include preparing and analysing financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

You will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Your responsibilities will also include managing payroll and superannuation obligations.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records is crucial in this role. You will liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls is essential in this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience in financial accounting and bookkeeping is essential for this role. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is also required.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks is necessary. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential in this position.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential.
