Monash Health is Victoria's largest health service, providing comprehensive care across south-eastern metropolitan Melbourne and rural Victoria.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our Child Health & Wellbeing Local. This full-time fixed term role will last approximately 30 months.
The Child Health & Wellbeing Local provides assessment and treatment services that consider all aspects of a child's life. We offer wellbeing support, peer support, and care coordination to help with various challenges, including developmental, behavioural, and mental health concerns.
This service has funding for community health, mental health, and family support services.
The Children's Health and Wellbeing local is a new service seeking a highly organised and competent Senior Mental Health Clinician to support access and engagement within the service.
In this role, you will assist in providing high-quality services for children from 0-11 years and their families through skilled mental health triage and assessment, service navigation, care coordination, transition follow-up, and consultation to internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be highly organised, proactive, confident working with families and carers in a supportive way, and able to assess risk and complexity.
You will work as one of two senior access and engagement clinicians setting up and organising this part of the service with the direction and support of the local Team Managers.
