About the Role

The Business Intelligence Strategist plays a pivotal role in transforming data into a strategic asset for the organisation. This individual leads the Periscope project, delivering analytics and insights to empower data-driven decision-making at every level.

This role involves aligning business intelligence initiatives with core strategic objectives, ensuring reporting and dashboards provide clarity to drive business growth, enhance operational transparency, and improve performance.

A key focus is surfacing actionable insights from complex data and identifying data quality issues, influencing key financial metrics such as billability, revenue, and gross margin.

This includes translating organisational goals into an impactful BI roadmap and leading the Periscope team to bring that vision to life.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the end-to-end BI project lifecycle, including scoping, prioritisation, execution, and delivering measurable outcomes.

  3. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the BI team to ensure outputs are relevant, understood, and actionable.
  4. Surface actionable insights from data and address data quality issues to support business metrics and decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven end-to-end delivery of BI and analytics initiatives from requirements through deployment and UAT.
  • Strong understanding of key commercial drivers in a professional services or technology environment, including revenue, gross margin, cost, and utilisation.
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical teams, preferably within an Agile or hybrid delivery framework.
  • Ability to partner with senior stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into a clear delivery roadmap.
  • Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset to identify analytics opportunities for business improvement and innovation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities to make data-informed recommendations.
