Leading Mechanical Design Expert

The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in railway signal mechanical engineering. As a senior professional, you will be responsible for leading the checking, verification, and final sign-off of mechanical designs to ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform thorough checks on mechanical design deliverables to guarantee accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Provide technical guidance and leadership to design teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and achieve project objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers in mechanical design best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification acceptable for professional membership with Engineers Australia.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) accreditation.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in railway signal mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and safety practices related to rail infrastructure.
