Key Responsibilities- Develop, govern, and provide assurance against our global Engineering technical standards, processes, and systems.
- Develop and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships with Functional, Asset, and Operational stakeholders.
- Actively engage with BHP Assets & Operations globally, providing technical expertise and supporting them with their implementation and management of Engineering global requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in our processes, systems, and technology.
- Challenge thinking and act as a true conduit for change and innovation within a complex business environment.
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Global Standards, Code of Conduct, and relevant statutory obligations.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary education in Engineering.
- Demonstrated relevant industry &/or mining experience in discipline Engineering, preferably 10 years and above.
- Strong knowledge and expertise on BHP Engineering global requirements particularly across Asset Integrity, Engineering Information Management, and Management of Change.
- Understanding of Functional Safety would be beneficial.
- Proficient in BHP Risk Framework and processes.
- Experience in Asset &/or Operational Engineering teams, particularly in Fixed Plant equipment and infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Asset Management, maintenance execution, maintenance planning & reliability or production processes, is preferred.
