We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Environmental Consultant to lead our national environment and sustainability team. This role will support the delivery and growth of services within our infrastructure design business, including technical environmental assessments, environmental permitting advice, and approvals.
As part of this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver comprehensive environmental assessments, impact statements, and environmental management and monitoring plans for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental permitting for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external design teams, project stakeholders, and clients to achieve project goals.
- Train and mentor junior staff in the delivery of high-quality environmental studies and processes.
- Support business development activities, including tender responses, marketing strategies, and client relationship building.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and teamwork within the organization.
- Contribute to industry research initiatives and thought leadership.
What we're looking for:
You have tertiary qualifications relevant to environmental consulting, extensive experience in the infrastructure consulting industry, and comprehensive knowledge of state-specific environmental guidelines. You hold a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) certification and have a strong track record of supporting councils and major infrastructure developers with environmental studies and approvals.
You possess excellent analytical and communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively, and have experience leading cross-functional teams.
