We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our Gunnedah Hub and Community Access service. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community.
About the RoleAs a Community Support Worker, you will provide a range of community services to assist clients to be actively involved in their local community, engaged in meaningful opportunities, and build relationships. Your key focus will be on supporting clients to live an active lifestyle and participate in their community through the delivery of person-centred programs.
You will work to behaviour support plans by utilising positive behaviour strategies, assist and support clients with personal and hygiene care, communicate with families about clients' progress, and maintain progress notes and record-keeping.
About YouYou are passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to the lives of individuals with disabilities. As a positive and energetic person, you will demonstrate the ability to engage, communicate, and build partnerships with people. You have a flair for creativity, while also being organised, and are able to work in a dynamic environment.
Experience in the disability sector is essential, and you will be happy to support others with personal and hygiene care. You will also require a current Australian driver's license and high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude while acting with integrity, honesty, and respect.
